The Magnum and HP Partnership

In 2005 Magnum Photos entered into a Printing and Technology partnership with Hewlett Packard. This partnership was the formal extension of a relationship that had seen Magnum collaborate with HP on various projects including Magnum in May in 2004 and the touring of the "Celebration of Colour" exhibition in 2005.

Magnum's partnership with HP enables Magnum Photographers to use HP printers and technology for editing, book proofing and the printing of portfolio's and exhibition quality prints. Magnum Photographers in turn provide feedback to HP on what they require from a digital printer in order to achieve the best possible results.

The fruit of this collaboration became evident in September when HP's new line of printers were launched at Photokina in Cologne. Three bodies of work in Martin Parr's short retrospective "Assorted Cocktail" were printed on the new Z series printers and were exhibited in the Visual Gallery at Photokina from Sept 24th until October 01 2006. This exhibition will be touring worldwide.
